Who can apply for funding?
501(c)3 tax-exempt organizations that serve youth are eligible to apply. Youth are defined as persons 0 -18 years old, unless otherwise obvious in funding priorities description. Individuals are not considered. Grants must ultimately serve youth in and around the community where the granting YouthBoard is located.
Individuals and organizations supporting political candidates are ineligible to apply.
How do I apply?
For Denver-area nonprofits: Please review the full Request for Proposals to see if you fit with this year’s funding priorities. Applicants should complete the Colorado Common Grant Application and submit a physical copy to 1127 Sherman St, Suite #100, Denver, CO 80203 by 5:00pm on March 16, 2020 (if you’re applying for funding from more than one board, please submit a physical copy for each board). Please also submit an electronic copy to firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be notified by email within a week that it was received.
To apply for funding from our partner boards in Sioux Falls, SD, Boulder, CO, or Summit County, CO, please contact us at email@example.com for a copy of their Request for Proposals.
Can my organization apply for more than one year of funding?
Grants are restricted to one year. Requests for more than one year of funding will not be considered.
What can the grant be used for?
The applicant must use the grant funds only for the purposes for which the grant was made. YouthRoots has the authority to withhold and/or recover grant funds in case such funds are, or appear to be, misused.
