BIO

I am the oldest out of 4, and ever since I can remember I have been taught to go after a career that I love and use my voice for anything I believe in. I have learned throughout the years to always speak up in any situation, whether it is in school or outside of it because a change is not possible until something is done. I always go by the phrase “Positive mind, positive outcome,” everything has its way of going and no matter what one should learn from an experience to move forward in life.

Aimee Yan Board Member
BIO

My name is Aimee Yan, and I am a sophomore from Westminster, Colorado. I am passionate about fighting for minority rights through the promotion of equal educational opportunities, spreading awareness through journalism, and inspiring youth involvement in politics. Within the community, I’m working to promote equality as a team leader for the Growing Home Food Bank and Homeless Shelter; a tutor in Mountain Terrace’s Enrichment Program for English Second Language students; and a representative for Standley Lake High School on the Principal’s Political Awareness Committee. I’m involved in my school and community because I strongly believe in the difference I can make for the causes I am passionate about. I believe I have the capability to lead, inspire, and achieve equity for the disadvantaged communities that have left an indelible imprint on the course of my life and that I have grown to care so much about.
